Adverb
defines how, when, where or how the action is been taken place in a sentence.
Adverbs can be divided into four different
categories. They are as mentioned below:
Adverb of
Time:
This
determines when the action is been taken place. It answers the question “when?”
For
example:
I saw
her yesterday.
I just
hope I’ll meet her tomorrow.
Last
week I was in
Shanghai.
We had
dinner together last night.
Adverb
of manner:
This determines
how the action is been taken place. It answers the question “how?”
For
example:
I was
panting heavily.
He eats quickly.
Sandra
writes slowly.
Adverb
of place:
This
determine where the action is been taken place. It answers the question
“where?”
For
example:
I went
into the market.
They
were walking along the river.
He fell
down from the stairs.
I met
her in the cab.
